Grandma raised her family,
on beans and
a piece of bread,
and thanked the Lord above,
that the little ones were
fed.
Work was hard , the hours long,
round the old home place.
But she
still found plenty of time
to sing Amazing grace!
Sunday mornings
belonged to the lord,
and be it rain or shine.
We'd head down the road to
Sunday School
with her hand holding mine.
She never walked along to
fast,
for little feet to go!
There was plenty of time for me to
hear,
how Jesus loved me so!
Precious dreams linger forever
and
loved ones are never gone.
They live on forever and ever
they just move to
a brand new home!
I'll never forget, I remember yet,
the sound I can't
erase.
Grandma's rocking the babies,
she's singing Amazing
grace!
